Note: Not to be confused with New XI'AO Elevator Group, Xizi International, or Xizi UHC. The first is the parent company of Xizi Elevator and a subsidiary of Xizi International, and the second is the parent company of New XI'AO Elevator Group and other parts of the company that manufacture boilers and other products. Xizi UHC is another group that doesn't have any relationships with Xizi International. Xizi Elevator Technology Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 西子电梯科技有限公司), commonly referred as XIZI and also known as iLIFT in the Chinese market, is an elevator manufacturer from Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China, a wholly owned subsidiary of New XI'AO Elevator Group (Chinese: 新西奥集团). Its products mainly targets high-end markets and serves both domestic and overseas markets, with factories in Zhejiang, Tianjin and Chengdu.
History[]
The company was established in 1981. Xizi exported its first elevators outside China (to Vietnam) in 1993. In 1997, Otis Elevator Company along with Xizi formed Xizi Otis, a joint venture company and Otis's fifth joint venture in China. The Xizi Otis brand lasted until October 2016 when it was renamed to Otis Electric. However, Xizi still owns 20% shares of Otis Electric.
Between 2004 and 2011, Xizi established a number of subsidiary companies. These includes Hangzhou XO-LIFT (Chinese: 西奥电梯[1]) in 2004, Hangzhou SWORD Elevator Co., Ltd. in 2009 and Surapid Elevator Co., Ltd. in 2011. The SWORD brand is mainly targeted for international markets. In 2018, XO-LIFT was renamed to XIOLIFT (Hangzhou XIOLift Co., Ltd.). The XIOLIFT brand is mainly targeted for the local (Chinese) market. Also in 2008, Xizi established Xizi Unite Elevator Co., Ltd.
In 2015, New XI'AO Elevator Group was established, and all the subsidiary companies including Xizi Elevator Technology Co., Ltd. became its subsidiaries. The group focuses on all the parts as well as complete elevators and escalators and moving walkways, while its parent company Xizi International also focuses on other heavy machinery.

- In the Chinese market, Xizi is known as iLIFT. However, some of it's complete elevators have a 'XIZI' logo on the capacity badge in China.
