VALTER (stylized as ⇣⇡LTER, pronounced "VAHL-tair") is a Turkish manufacturer of elevators, escalators and moving walkways, based in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. -VALTER also installs Doppelmayr/Garaventa's cable cars, ski lifts and funiculars.- VALTER is one of the largest and most well known manufacturers/installers of elevators, escalators, moving walkways, cable cars and funiculars in Turkey, and the largest and most well known in Ankara.

VALTER's slogan is Up & Down "The Best" (Turkish: Aşağı - Yukarı "En İyisi")

History[]

  • 1972 - VALTER was established by Ahmet Ağcabağ in Ankara, Turkey.
  • 2000 - VALTER started to manufacture escalators and moving walkways.
  • 2004 - After Ahmet Ağcabağ's death, his son Murat Ağcabağ completely took over the management of VALTER.
  • 2012 - VALTER became the Turkish-based distributor of Doppelmayr/Garaventa and started to install their cable cars, ski lifts, funiculars and other cable and rail vehicles.
  • 2013 - VALTER started to carry out building construction.
  • 2014 - VALTER founded its first subsidiary, VALTER Europe.
  • 2015 - VALTER was declared an R&D center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
  • 20?? - VALTER will open its production facility with 24,000 m² closed area in Akyurt, Ankara, Turkey.
