Thyssen Dover Elevator Co. (known as Thyssen Dover) was a company that installed elevators & escalators. They were founded when Thyssen bought out Dover Elevators Division, forming Thyssen Dover. When Thyssen Dover launched, Thyssen was already in merger with F. Krupp AG, which eventually became ThyssenKrupp. A brand transition in ThyssenKrupp ended in 2001 and Thyssen Dover was renamed to ThyssenKrupp Elevator - Americas Business Unit (now known as TK Elevator).

- The "Thyssen Dover" name is very rarely seen on the elevator's visible parts like cabs and car stations (they are normally labelled as Dover). It is usually only seen in elevator catalogues, contracts, etc. As a result of this, Thyssen Dover elevators are usually only distinguishable by their date of manufacture.
- When Thyssen Dover existed, the microprocessor-based controllers were already a standard in brand-new elevators, but they installed few elevators with relay controllers[1].
