TK evolution is a machine room less elevator product line of TK.
Description[]
evolution is a machine room less passenger elevator designed for low to mid rise residential and commercial buildings. It is currently a global product, meaning that the model is sold in Europe, United States, Asia Pacific, Africa and possibly Latin America.
Models[]
There are several models of TK evolution, some of them are only available in selected markets and/or countries.
Europe[]
In Europe, TK currently sells three different types of evolution models. The first one is evolution 100 for buildings up to 21 floors, the second is evolution 200 for buildings up to 40 floors, and the third is evolution 300 for buildings up to 40 floors with high demand traffic. These three models can also have machine room above the shaft as an option. The same lineup is also sold in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In 2012, thyssenkrupp launched the evolution BLUE for the European market. It was discontinued in 2019 (2020 for Russia and CIS) and succeeded by the evolution 100/200/300 models.
In Spain, TK Elevadores produced four types of evolution models in the 2000s, they are evolution Classic (standard type for residential and office buildings), evolution Flexible (custom type based on client's needs), evolution Compact (with reduced pit of only 300 mm, for buildings with limited space) and evolution Exterior (for existing buildings without an elevator)[1].
United States[]
evolution in the United States is available as evolution 200, for buildings up to 350 feet. evolution 100 was also briefly available for buildings up to 75 feet, but was discontinued in 2022. evolution 200 is the successor to the U.S. synergy Self-Supported elevator.
Asia Pacific[]
In Asia Pacific, the model is currently sold as evolution and evolution1 which are manufactured by thyssenkrupp Elevator China. It is the successor of Synergy in the region, including Australia. However, the Synergy is still available in China (and possibly selected markets).
The difference between regular evolution and evolution1 is the maximum speed and application. The speed for evolution is 2.5 m/s while evolution1 is just 2 m/s. evolution is designed for heavy duty environments like public transportation facilities or hospital, while evolution1 is targeted for low to mid rise residential and commercial buildings.
In South Korea, evolution is not sold there because the enta200 model is sold instead, which is also a successor of the Korean Synergy elevator.
In 2019, thyssenkrupp launched three new MRL models for the Asia Pacific region which are TK enta100, enta200 and enta300. Together they are the successor of evolution, and in 2020, evolution was discontinued in most markets.
Other regions[]
In Latin America, the evolution is sold as evolution 200 and evolution 300.
There was also evolution2 which was available in Israel and South Korea[2].
thyssenkrupp also made the evolution Compact which had a reduced shaft headroom and pit (100 and 300 mm respectively) compared to the evolution Classic[3].
