Solon was a model of low to mid-rise machine room less traction elevator made by Sigma Elevator Company.
Overview[]
Solon is a machine room less traction elevator model for low to mid rise buildings. There are two versions of Solon; the Solon Standard and Solon Comfort. The difference between the two versions is that the Solon Comfort has limited specifications and has a slightly basic aesthetic compared to the Solon Standard.
This model was launched sometime in the 2000s. It was discontinued in 2012 or 2013 and succeeded by Solon NV (now Sigma Solon Premium since 2019).

- Only equipped with two speed center opening doors
- Can be equipped with Sigma NeT elevator monitoring system as an optional feature

- Machine room less traction with gearless permanent magnet synchronous machine
- 1 m/s speeds
- 450-1000 kilograms (or 6-15 (standard code), 6-13 (EN code) persons) capacities
- Serves up to 15 floors
- 45 m of maximum rise
- Can accommodate up to 4 elevator cars in a group control system
- Single entrance (it is unknown if double entrance was also available)
- Only equipped with two speed center opening doors
- Can be equipped with Sigma NeT elevator monitoring system as an optional feature
