Schindler EuroLift was a modular elevator product line-up produced by Schindler for both new installation and modernization. It was introduced in 2000.
Description[]
Schindler EuroLift is a modular traction elevator model designed for residential and commercial buildings with up to 30 floors. It features a permanent magnet gearless motor and can serve up to 30 floors. It could also have a mini machine room model as requested by clients. They were also possible to be combined with Miconic 10 or PORT (for newer installations).
These elevators uses a set of fixtures called FI MXB, which consists of push buttons that are shaped like the M-Series buttons with yellow illumination and yellow LED floor indicators. Optionally, a vandal resistant FI MXV and FI MXH fixtures would be ordered. Schindler EuroLift elevators are usually identified by its thicker LED font on the floor indicators and narrower car station mounted on the elevator car's side wall. Some elevators also have a button beep when the floor buttons are pressed. Car interior design was available in three options, they are Primus, Flexus and Luxus. The EuroLift was also available with SchindlerAramid, a synthetic elevator cables which was claimed by Schindler to be four times lighter than traditional steel cables.
Schindler EuroLift was mainly sold in Europe, although it could also be exported to selected countries such as New Zealand and possibly Latin American countries as well. It was not sold in Asia Pacific because the model was substituted by the Schindler 300 P, which shares some similarities with the EuroLift. It was also not sold in North America as it did not meet ASME codes.
