Schindler 6400 is a traction elevator model manufactured by Schindler Elevator Corporation and only available in the U.S. and Canada. It is a model for modernization of older elevators. It was originally called the Schindler 6400 NA, however the "NA" was dropped in 2017.


Description[]

Schindler 6400 is a traction elevator model for modernization of older geared traction elevators in low-mid rise buildings. It replaces geared machine with a modular gearless machine (it is housed in the existing machine room), steel ropes with Schindler Suspension Traction Media belt ropes and old relay or microcomputer controller with Miconic TX microprocessor controller. It is also possible to be combined with Schindler PORT as an option.

  • Fixtures supplied by MAD, Epco, Innovation Industries (occasionally), and sometimes other fixtures may be an option
  • Power Factor 1 regenerative drive
  • Schindler PORT destination dispatch as an option
