Schindler 6000 is a traction elevator model produced by Schindler since 2024.

Description[]

The Schindler 6000 was released by Schindler in 2024. Schindler describes the 6000 as their "premium model" compared to the 5000. Not much else is known about this model due to it being recently released. By the way of available configurations, however, it can be a more "complete" successor of the Schindler 5500 model.

Primarily a machine room less traction elevator, the Schindler 6000 can also be ordered with a separate machine room located on the top, just like Schindler 5500, with less minimum space required inside (also known as "mini machine room", shortened MMR). After being launched, Schindler reduced maximum specifications for new Schindler 5000 elevators - travel heights higher than 80 meters and less than 150 meters are now qualifying only for the Schindler 6000 elevator installation, as well as: when cab capacity must be more than 1360 kg but still less than 2600 kg, or when an elevator must reach more than 40 and less than 50 stops + more than 50 and less than 80 openings. Some higher specifications (especially travel height), once available in the Schindler 5000, became unavailable and now only fit within the specifications of the Schindler 7000 high-rise elevator model. Additionally, Schindler 5000 became an exclusively machine room less elevator model.

All Schindler 6000 elevator cabs come with choice of four different interior designs: Navona, Times Square, Park Avenue, and Sunset Boulevard. These interior designs are nearly identical to the ones in Schindler 3000/5000 elevators. Despite those are provided, custom cab design for the building are also available depending the contract between the building owners and the contractors.

It is also possible to be integrated with the PORT destination dispatch system and can accommodate up to 8 elevator groups.

The Schindler 6000 is marketed as 6000 Plus for full elevator replacements in existing locations[1]. Derived upgrade packages (similar to 10/30/50/70 Plus and 100/300/500/700 Plus) haven't been introduced yet.
