Schindler 5300 is a traction elevator model made by Schindler Group.

Overview[]

Schindler 5300 is a gearless traction machine room less passenger elevator for low-rise commercial and residential buildings. It shares the same design, features and equipment with the Schindler 3300, using the same type of hoisting machine, door equipment (provided by Fermator), and Schindler Suspension Traction Media hoisting belts as opposed to traditional steel ropes. This elevator can serve up to 15 floors.

Schindler 5300 was launched in 2005 along with the Schindler 3100, 3300 and 6200 series. It was mostly sold in Europe. This model might have been discontinued in Europe. However, it is still available in India where it is currently produced by Schindler India. Unlike the European version, the Indian version has slightly different specs; with slightly different capacities, serves more floors and can be a bank of 3 elevators.
