Lester Controls is a company based in the UK that produces controllers, components as well as fixtures for any both major elevator companies and generic elevator companies in the UK. It is dubbed as the UK's largest independent lift control panel manufacturer.
History[]
Lester Controls was founded in 1986 by John Beresford. They introduced PLC (programmable logic control) based microprocessor controllers as well as designed relay control service for home lift market in the UK in the early 1990s.
Products[]
The company manufactures various components for elevators and escalators, from controllers (such as Relay APB, Quattro DC, Hydraulic VVVF, etc.), elevator fixtures to external car components such as load/weight sensors, car top controls, tape heads (or known as ticky tapes), shaft positioning systems and much more. These components are usually used for both major elevator companies and generic elevator companies.
