Hollister-Whitney (Hollister-Whitney Elevator Corp.) is an American company from Quincy, Illinois, United States that manufactures elevator machines, and other elevator parts, and sells them to other companies. It is now part of the Vantage Elevator Solutions.
History[]
The company was founded in 1899 by Edward Everett Hollister. In 1906, Frank K. Whitney joined the company and became Hollister-Whitney. In 1960, the company was acquired by GAL and became its subsidiary. Since then, both companies have partnered together to sell controller equipment with their traction machines.
In 2018, Hollister-Whitney along with GAL and four other elevator parts companies formed Vantage Elevator Solutions to provide a better, higher and more flexible service under one brand.
