GiantKONE Elevator Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 巨人通力电梯有限公司) is an elevator company, a joint venture formed in 2005 between Kone and Zhejiang Giant Holdings Ltd. (formerly Zhejiang Giant Elevator Co., Ltd.). It is now a subsidiary of Kone.
Its products are mainly aimed for the domestic (Chinese) market. The company has one factory and around 40 branches in China.
History[]
The company was established on July 18, 2005 as a form of joint venture between Kone and Zhejiang Giant Holdings. In 2011, Kone increased the share of GiantKONE from 40% to 80%, followed by another 20% in 2016[1]. Since then, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kone.
