GMV is an Italian company who manufactures components and full packages for hydraulic and traction elevators.

History[]

GMV was founded in 1958 by Angelo Martini, who is the current president of the company. In the 1960's, they manufactured a prototype central acting direct drive piston. In 1971, they moved their manufacturing facility to Pero (Milan), Italy and one year later, manufactured the first 2:1 hydraulic elevator system. In 1976, they starting manufacturing telescopic pistons. Throughout the 1980's they built new manufacturing facilities in Germany, France, Greece, India, Canada, and Argentina. In 1998, GMV introduced the SL (slim) line of pistons and power units. In 2000, they started manufacturing machine room less hydraulic units and controllers and introduced the Green Lift MRL-MC three years later. In 2008, GMV introduced the Goods Passenger Lift (GPL), Vehicle Lift (VL) and homelifts. In 2017, GMV started manufacturing MRL traction elevators.

Green Lift Fluitronic (GLF)[]

This is GMV's line of hydraulic elevators.

  • Cantilever 1:2 roped hydraulic system
  • Dry powered hydraulic pump
  • Controller and pump can be located next to door or near shaft
  • 320, 350, 450, 630, 900, and 1000 kg capacities
  • 0.4-0.86 m/s speed
  • Up to 19 meters of travel for lifts with a rated capacity of 630 kgs or less and 16 meters for lifts exceeding 630 kgs
  • Up to 6 stops

GLT Omega Slim/Extra Slim[]

This is GMV's line of MRL traction elevators.

  • Permanent magnet AC machine
  • 2:1 roping
  • Polyurethane-covered ropes
  • 350, 450, 480, 525, 630, 900, and 1000 kg capacities
  • 2 or 3 speed side or 2 speed center opening doors
  • 1 m/s speed
  • Up to 45 meters of travel
  • Up to 15-30 stops
  • Mechanical part on the extra slim variant of the counterweight side is reduced to 195 mm

  • Up to 4 floors for front and 6 floors for front and rear/side

This is GMV's line of MRL traction elevators

  • 2:1 Underslung with 8 mm BRUGG CTP coated ropes
  • 2100, 2300, 2500, 2800, 3000, 3500, 4000 lb capacities
  • 2 speed side opening doors
  • 300 ft/min speed
  • 240 ft of travel
  • Up to 20 floors
