Fujitec GS8000-NX is a current escalator model manufactured by Fujitec and sold for the Japanese and overseas market, including North America. This model has been made since April 2008[1] and was jointly developed by Fujitec's Toyooka Plant in Japan and Shanghai Huasheng Fujitec in China to comply various standards in differeng countries.. It is a successor of the GS8000 series which was launched in 2003[2]. The heavy-duty version for high traffic environment is called GS8000-HV. It is unknown if the GS8000-HV is sold in the United States.

Overview

The Fujitec GS8000-NX is an escalator for commercial buildings and public transportation facilities. Like its predecessor, the balustrade can be made of tempered glass (Type S or F) or stainless steel (Type P). Type F can have lighting under the handrail as an optional feature. Handrails can be made of colored polyurethane or synthetic rubber, while the steps can be made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy die-cast. This escalator model complies with the EN115 code. The difference between this model and the GS8000 model is the newel design at each end of the escalator's balustrade.
