Doppler S.A. is a Greek elevator company based in Polykastro Industrial Park, north of Thessaloniki. They manufactures elevator parts (like hydraulic and traction parts, cabins, modernization, etc.), complete elevator package (hydraulic home elevator, hydraulic MRL, MRL traction, etc.), escalators and moving walks, parking systems and car lifts.
It operates on very similar basis to its domestic competitor Kleemann - through partnered distributors and installers, mostly in developing countries, but not only (see a list of installations and distributors below). It also has a branch in Athens, as well as direct subsidiaries in China (Chengdu, Sichuan province), Italy (Milan) and Cyprus (Nicosia).
History
The company was established in February 2000, followed by a branch in Athens a year later. In 2003, Doppler began exporting its products, with United Kingdom being the first country on their list. Doppler installed its first escalator in January 2004. Four years later, it launched its first machine room less elevator, the ECO 2.
