Ascensores Cenia SA (sometimes known as Cenia-Pingon S.A. or simply CENIA) was an elevator company from Spain, based in the town of Andoain in the Gipuzkoa province. One of the leading elevator manufacturers in Spain, it made elevators and escalators. Very little is known about this company, other than the fact that it was acquired by ThyssenKrupp in 2005.
Elevator fixtures[]
There are only two known types of elevator fixtures Cenia made, which are listed below
Round white buttons[]
These fixtures have small round white buttons (illuminate entirely when pressed) enclosed in a black rectangular frame. The floor indicator is a ssimple 7 segments display. Hall and car lanterns, if present, are wedged arrowhead style lanterns. These fixtures were probably made in the 1980s.
B12 buttons[]
These fixtures have buttons which are rounded square, have tactile and braille marks and a small red dot lamp on the side. They are made by Mecanismos y Accessorios (MAC) and are known as the B12 series[1][2]. Floor indicators use red LED dot matrix display, with a "V" shaped arrow shown everytime the elevator stops at a floor with the doors open. If the elevator is free has no other calls to handle, the arrow will be shown as "/\/". These fixtures were most likely made in the 1990s. They were also used in some Thyssen-branded Cenia elevators in Spain and other countries.

- In Cyprus, Cenia elevators were distributed by PY Elevators Ltd., which is now a distributor of ThyssenKrupp elevators in that country.
- Cenia elevators in Finland were distributed and installed by Hissi Laakso OY.
- MP Lifts's Compact series push buttons are based on the B12 series buttons made by Mecanismos y Accessorios (MAC). MAC was the predecessor of MP Lifts.
